ABOUT US
Master John Remmelzwaal opened his martial arts studio in 2010 and has been dedicated to providing McHenry County with the highest quality training in the area. He began his training over 30 years ago and wants to pass on his knowledge and skill to his students.
Martial arts isn’t just about kicking and punching – it’s also about developing integrity and gaining essential life skills like confidence and self-discipline. We teach these valuable skills and more while providing a safe and positive learning environment. Our students range in age from 5 and up - anyone can participate!
We also offer personal training services with proper instruction on getting the most out of your exercise routine, whether it be through fitness classes or one-on-one. Lee's Martial Arts Academy offers taekwondo programs for kids, teens and adults ages 5 and up! Adults and families are encouraged to join. In addition to being an excellent way to get physically fit, taekwondo increases self-confidence, focus, and teaches respect. There are many benefits to practicing martial arts.
Lee's Martial Arts in Marengo proudly serves all of McHenry County including Marengo, Union, Hampshire, Belvidere, Garden Prairie, Harvard and Huntley. We also have locations in Crystal Lake and Cary.
Hours of Operation
Mondays & Wednesdays: 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Fridays & Saturdays: Personal Training/Weight Loss
